TRASHXPLOITATION, festival of short film, was started in Paris in 2017 as a display of international network of artists whose work relates to trash in terms of production, inspiration or narrative approach. Whether you are schooled artists, in process of studying or you never went to any school, feel free to join us for a common look at the film forms emerging from positions that are emancipated from influence of theory, knowledge and big production teams. Armory Week’s self-proclaimed “anti-fair,” Clio spotlights artists without exclusive gallery representation in New York. The event, which takes its name from the muse of history in Greek mythology, will showcase work by Alejandra Morales Garza, Ali Anvari, Hsi Chun Huang, Michael Moffett, Sam Heydt, and others. The special project section, titled “I Want to Go Home,” will focus on physical and metaphorical borders. Entry is free on Friday, March 8, while general admission for weekend showings costs $18.
